You will be shot when you fly too high...

Few days ago, early in the morning.......well, not so early in the morning......I was up to my usual stuff designing ambigrams, though unusually sitting in the hall instead of sitting on my bed in my den, when my lovely 7 year old niece walked up and sat next to me wondering what I was doing with so many papers placed ......okie okie thrown all around me. I told her I was trying to write things differently thinking she would just get distracted with something else in just a few seconds any way but to my surprise she grew more interested and asked me how different? I placed my pencil and the scribble pad away and patiently explained to her about the fonts being different from each other, even though being the same language showing her different magazines from readers digest, Outlook, Times of India and what ever things I could get my hands on at that time to make her understand about different styles of writing. I was thinking I was taking this a bit too far trying to make a 7 year old understand things beyond her intellect when I followed this explanation with the concept of ambigrams and inversions. Realizing that she was not even looking at me and just flipping through my scribble pad, I came to a very slow halt completing my not so inspiring explanation. With full of grace, not even looking at me she stunned me by asking are you trying to explain to me about calligraphy? I saw a bubble appear over my head and in it I saw my head replaced with that of a donkey. Adding to my dismay she even picked up the scribbled papers lying around me that had my numerous attempts of creating the ambigrams and said calmly, I used to write like this when I was 2 years old. I quickly burst the bubble and gathered all my belongings put them away and successfully managed to distract her, preventing further damage to my already damaged self.
